Current and Transfer Students
If you're interested in applying to the Honors College as a current or transfer student, be sure to check the eligibility criteria:

• Current or transfer students with an overall GPA of at least 3.25

 Students transferring to Texas State Univeristy must have at least 12 semester hours of course work completed to qualify as transfer students. Please note that the Honors College is willing to give recognized credit for honors courses taken at a previous institution. To discuss the transferring honors credit please set up an appointment with an Honors College Advisor.

Veterans

The Honors College recognizes the wide range of experiences men and women gain while serving in the armed forces. Veterans are encouraged to use the Continuing/Transfer Application to apply regardless of prior college experience. More information about the experiences of veterans in the Honors College, and about courses and events that might be of interest to veterans can be found here.
 

 
 

Note: There is no deadline for Honors College applications. However, to have access to Early Registration, students must be accepted into the College in time to be submitted to the registrar, which usually occurs several weeks before registration.
