Spring Registration is Coming Up!

Have you met with your academic advisor to discuss your Spring schedule???  If not, you should schedule an appointment soon because registration is just around the corner.


Spring registration begins on October 17th.  Check your registration eligibility for your times and holds on castweb, SSB. 

Call 512.245.1993 to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor.  If you are not yet admitted to McCoy College but are interested in becoming a business student, meet with University College.  You can reach their advising center at 512.245.2218.

BOBCAT ENTREPRENEUR BOOT CAMP!

IGNITE YOUR FUTURE...


The Center for Entrepreneurial Action is collaborating with the Materials Science, Engineering and Commercialization (MSEC) program to host a professional development boot camp during the fall 2011 semester.

During this boot camp, students will have the opportunity to network with local entrepreneurs and learn entrepreneurial skills. There will also be an opportunity for a $500 cash prize for the BEST business pitch.

It is open to both graduate and undergraduate students in all majors. There is a $50 registration fee and the deadline to sign-up is September 30th, 2011. Please register for the boot camp online at http://cea.mccoy.txstate.edu/bootcamp/bootcamp.html.

ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS

If you are a senior and plan on graduating in fall 2011, you must APPLY FOR GRADUATION.

The
graduation application deadline has changed to October 7th, 2011.

You can apply for graduation by following these instructions: Go to www.txstate.edu -- Catsweb -- Student Services -- Registration and Schedule Changes --
Log In -- Student -- Student Records --Apply for Graduation.

If you have any questions regarding requirements for graduation, you may schedule an appointment by
contacting the advising center at 512.245.1993 or stopping by 115 McCoy Hall to speak with your academic advisor.

Management Students with Teacher Certification

If you are planning on student teaching in the spring, you need to attend a Student Teaching Round-up during SEPTEMBER. For more information, visit http://www.education.txstate.edu/oep/oep-links/student-teaching/st.html.

If you are planning on completing your field based block in the spring, you need to apply for your block placement. Applications will be available online through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction website at http://www.education.txstate.edu/ci from September 19th through September 30th.

If you are not enrolled or have not completed a teacher education section of US 1100 and need to apply to the teacher preparation program, you can attend a Saturday Seminar on October 8th or November 12th.
