The business learning community toured McCoy’s Building
Supply headquarters and retail store on Friday November 8th. The
tour is a chance for students to see the behind-the-scenes corporate operations
of McCoy College of Business’s namesake company. Student toured the retail
location on Wonderworld Dr, where the store manager answered questions from
students. Afterwards, students headed to
McCoy’s corporate office. BLC members
had the chance to hear real world operations from each department from a series
of speakers. Megan McCoy, the granddaughter of Emmitt and Miriam McCoy,
concluded the presentation with a history of the company and her family before
opening the floor to a Q&A session. We are so grateful for the opportunity
to tour the impressive facilities each year and give students the chance to
network with the amazing staff of McCoy’s Building Supply.
