in the social sciences: anthropology, psychology, sociology, economics, and
political science.
Writing for Journalism

Learn about AP Style, inverted pyramid, news criteria, and active
voice.
Writing for Business
Friday, February 22 | 4:00 – 5:00 PM | The Writing Center
(ASB-N 108)
Learn effective technical communication skills including how to
write memos, business letters, and reports.
All events are free and do not require registration.
In addition to the events listed above, the Writing Center
provides individual counseling in writing for Texas State students at any level
of study in any discipline. Appointments are available in San Marcos, online,
